The 2025 Oscars red carpet was, in its 97th years, as much of a spectacle of glamour, drama, and statement-making fashion as ever.

From Ariana Grande’s dreamy champagne-hued Schiaparelli to Cynthia Erivo’s striking green velvet Louis Vuitton, the night was packed with unforgettable looks. Elle Fanning paid homage to old Hollywood in Givenchy, while Felicity Jones shimmered like the award itself in silver. Fernanda Torres stunned in an intricately embroidered Chanel masterpiece, and Storm Reid turned heads in a bold red cape gown. Demi Moore, meanwhile, capped off her glittering awards season in suitably jewel-encrusted style for the grand finale.

Here are some of the looks we loved.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande looked like a dream in champagne-hued, structured Schiaparelli. Hands down, one of the best looks of the night.

Cynthia Erivo

Few could have outshone Ariana – except, that is, her co-star, who wore custom Louis Vuitton in green (what else?) velvet.

Elle Fanning

Elle Fanning channelled old Hollywood glamour and at once showcased Sarah Burton’s new era at Givenchy. Double win.

Felicity Jones

Whether Ms Jones scoops an Academy Award or not, she looked like a sleek molten silver take on the statuette.

Jeremy Strong

Another champagne confection – this time for the men. Jeremy Strong wore Loro Piana and looked both silky smooth and deadly serious.

Fernanda Torres

The I’m Still Here actor was all shimmery elegance in Chanel, her confection having taken 450 hours of work and around 2000 embroidery elements to create.

Storm Reid

Lady in red! We adored Storm Reid’s cascading superhero style red cape and dress.

Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’o looked absolutely radiant in Chanel couture.

Adrian Brody

The Brutalist star looked extremely elegant in Giorgio Armani tailoring – and a beautiful brooch. We loved.

Zoe Saldaña

We loved the drama of Zoe Saldaña’s Saint Laurent gown with its crystal-embellished bandeau. Flying the flag for the very now burgundy trend – all topped off with sheer opera gloves, no less.

Timothée Chalamet

The Complete Unknown star looked both dapper and sweet in head-to-know zesty yellow, courtesy of Givenchy.

Demi Moore

This awards season has belonged to Demi Moore, who has been scooping gongs left, right and centre for The Substance. At its pinnacle last night, she wore a custom Giorgio Armani Privé gown that shimmered and shone almost as brightly as her glorious return to the silver screen.

Lisa

Star of The White Lotus Lisa – or Lalisa Manobal – wore a deconstructed tuxedo dress by Markgong and it was a knock-out.

Anok Yai

Anok Yai looked insanely beautiful (plus ca change). An absolute vision.

Margaret Qualley

We loved her simple, classic look in a backless Chanel LBD, which can never go wrong.

Colman Domingo

In Valentino, complete with red sash, Colman Domingo gave the men a masterclass in panache.

Halle Berry

A vision in shattered, mosaic style glass, Halle Berry shimmered down the red carpet.
