Started by two best friends looking to create distinctive clothes for children, Gussy and Lou are better known for their kids-ware, and the original core launch range was focused on 0-11 year olds. As partners in crime with a shared background in nannying, they learnt what kids will and won’t wear.
The founders then wanted to build on the success of their predominantly childrenswear business and expand further into womenswear following many requests to do so. A rebrand and name change was in order (originally known as ‘Little Leggies’ before the 2017 relaunch). Choosing a new name was tricky but they decided their own names were best suited for our brand. As self proclaimed neon-obsessed sun-worshippers, the 2 women wanted their new brand to feel mature while still being fun. The collection consists of cool everyday basics and luxury neon cashmere pieces. Many of which lend themselves for mum mini twinning and this is popular with their fan base.
The in demand pieces in the current collection are comfortable fun infused colour popping cashmeres, embracing a vivid palette with neon trims and colour tipped clothing. Their signature piece is the neon cuff and waistband trim 100% cashmere jumper. In an array of stunning colour combinations, it is very hard to decide which one to go for. I love this oat and yellow.
I also love the various colour combinations of the year round ‘boyfriend’ style cardigan.
Gussy and Lou don’t only focus on cashmere, and these jeans have received a lot of social media attention. I love the pink star pattern and relaxed fit.
With a ladies, Kids and Baby collection, let’s see what will be next to receive the neon magic touch from this exciting brand.
