Whether you’re drawn to Acne Studios’ cutting-edge cool, Ganni’s relaxed irreverence, or Stine Goya’s artistic maximalism, there’s a Nordic label to suit every aesthetic. We’ve rounded up the coolest new-ins from our favourite Scandi brands – perfect for layering, styling, and generally being effortlessly chic.
Acne Studios

Since 1996, Acne Studios has been eloquently making the case for Scandi design. It has stayed relevant throughout (Charlie XCX fronted a recent campaign), all under founder and creative director Jonny Johannsson’s watchful, multi-disciplinary eye.
We Love: The Sleeveless Dress, €890
Ganni

Achingly cool, the B-corp-certified Ganni was founded in 2000 by gallerist Frans Truelsen and has been exuding nonchalant cool ever since. Its appeal spans all the generations, from X to Z and everything in between, (it makes sense that Taylor Swift, the ultimate bridge of generational tastes, is a fan). Leopard print checks and cartoon T-shirts: all of it goes at Ganni and we love it so.
We Love: Leopard Printed Cotton Tie Strap Midi Dress, £285
Samsøe Samsøe

Its story began in 1993 in Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter with a small jewellery shop. That soon expanded and, before long, the fledgling brand was selling T-shirts and knitwear, chiefly for men. Things really took off with a new owner in 2000, when suddenly Samsøe Samsøe became an international brand defined by its utilitarian playfulness (In short, the quintessential stuff of classic Scandi design dreams). Minimal and affordable, we love its simplicity, as evidenced in the Saruma vest which, uncannily, takes us back to roughly… 1993 (though back then we’d have worn it with a long, floaty floral skirt…)
We love: Saruma Vest, £140
Stine Goya

Danish designer Stine Goya is a joyful point of difference amid the Scandi design landscape. Where its much-vaunted vibe is defined by minimalism, her own experience of life in Copenhagen felt far less muted and much more maximalist than that. Enter, then, her own eponymous label which is fresh, playful and bold, with each collection threaded through with uplifting hand-drawn prints.
We Love: Cropped Dropped Shoulder Bomber – Spring Mimosa, £315
By Malene Birger

Minimalism and bohemianism are not typical bedfellows – and yet By Marlene Birger, founded in 2003, demonstrates how beautifully they can offset one another, yoking the two together by way of feminine details and classic silhouettes. We like how absolute simplicity reigns here.
We Love: Marciella Maxi Dress, £170
House Of Dagmar

Founded by three sisters in 2005, House of Dagmar is all sophistication, taking the classic Scandi minimalism and breathing high fashion craftsmanship into it. There are no frills to see here; just perfect, simple tailoring and deeply stylish restraint.
We Love: Long DB Blazer, £810
Rains

We love a fashion brand that does one thing and does it really, really well. Step forward Rains, which is all about bringing what it calls a ‘neo-Scandinavian’ aesthetic to its unisex coated waterproof jackets. Brilliantly resistant to rain, they’ll keep you dry as a bone while looking chic – and we’re not overburdened with raincoats that can claim the same.
We Love: Suva Hardshell Short String W Jacket, £219
ROTATE Birger Christensen

ROTATE brings a fresh, playful take on Scandinavian fashion with statement partywear, bold silhouettes, and retro-inspired designs. Think exaggerated puff sleeves, mini dresses dripping in sequins, and Y2K nostalgia done right.
We Love: Jacquard Midi Puffy Dress Blue, €350
Filippa K

For those who lean into the quiet luxury movement, Filippa K is a must. With its focus on timeless, sustainable pieces, the brand excels in effortless staples—minimalist, but always with a refined edge.
We Love: Belted Stand Collar Dress, £320
Baum und Pferdgarten

One of Copenhagen’s most beloved labels, Baum und Pferdgarten is all about playful, modern femininity. Expect vibrant colours, unexpected prints, and ultra-wearable silhouettes that transition beautifully from day to night.
We Love: Cilia Skirt, €219
