If you want to escape the humdrum of ordinary life and experience a world of pure fantasy, where mountains are reflected in the choppy sea and open moorland stretches out before you, then look no further than this beautiful property on the Isle of Skye. Picture yourself sitting on the swing bench, glass in hand, staring up at the stars or maybe even relaxing in the hot tub, watching the sun set on the mountains. Bliss.
Woodlanders, South Shropshire – Sleeps 2
We adore everything about this stunning property. This beautifully decorated house is set deep within the countryside and is surrounded by woodland. The views are exceptional and the house itself is full of wonderful features such as a wood burner, a modern and well-equipped kitchen and don’t get us started on the outdoor, wood fired hot tub! This heavenly Cotswold property is located deep within the countryside and we adore the interiors. Complete with hot tub, outdoor kitchen, sound system throughout and spacious, luxurious bedrooms, this would be ideal for families or friends looking for some (super stylish) time out. This dog-friendly property is very close to a lovely pub and wonderful walks, all from your doorstep.
The Coach House, Shere – Sleeps 6
The views of the Surrey Hills from this beautiful property are outstanding. This charming cottage is dog friendly and has a beautiful garden and open plan living area. Tastefully decorated throughout, this wonderful bolthole is located in the idyllic village of Shere (think the cottage from ‘The Holiday’ to get an idea!). You won’t be stuck for things to do here as country walks await, villages are left to explore and stately homes and RHS Wisley are very close by.
Undercastle Cottage, New Forest – Sleeps 6
We are not sure we can imagine anything more beautiful and romantic than this cottage in the heart of the New Forest. This rose-adorned property is approached by a long winding tree-canopied track where you are met by New Forest ponies. And just when you think it can’t get any better, the beautiful, thatched roof cottage awaits, overlooking the stunning Hampshire Avon. We particularly love the idea of reading a good book on the hammock, or dining al fresco while watching the sunset.
Greenside Cottage, North Aston – Sleeps 4
We were immediately struck by the beauty of this 400-year old thatched cottage located in the heart of the Cotswolds. The cottage itself is abundant with original features such as exposed stonewalls, a wood-burning stove and beamed ceilings. The kitchen is stylish and modern and we can already picture ourselves sitting outside in the pretty garden, coffee and papers in hand. If you fancy a fun excursion, close by you’ll find The White Horse, Soho Farmhouse and Daylesford Organic.
