Cartier
Boutique jewellers will come and go but nothing ever seems quite as chic as Cartier. The King seems to agree. Among his favourite watches is a Cartier Santos and, back in happier times, he gave Meghan Markle a Diamond Tennis Bracelet from Cartier as a wedding present.
Kellogg’s
It was in 1974 that The King first toured the Kellogg’s headquarters in Manchester; earlier this year, he paid the cereal giant a second visit. Knowing the way to Charles’s heart, the Corn Flakes creator talking him through their plans for sustainable packaging.
Aston Martin
The King appears always to have impeccable taste. His classic blue 1970 Aston Martin DB6, which has been converted to run on sustainable fuels, is no exception to this rule. The exquisite motor car was a present for his 21st birthday.
Waitrose
Waitrose first received a Royal Warrant in 1928, when it sold Queen Mary her favourite honey soap. In 2009, Charles needed greater reach for his organic food brand, Duchy Originals, and it made sense to go into partnership with the high-end supermarket. Waitrose Duchy Organic thrives to this day.
Richer Sounds
God only knows what The King was buying when Richer Sounds received his Royal Warrant in 2011 – but we like to think it was a top-notch sound system for William and Harry’s ‘Club H’ in the basement at Highgrove.
Floris
There isn’t a person on the planet who doesn’t like to receive a beribboned box of something from Floris. It is easy to imagine Charles and Camilla turning up to spend the weekend with friends bearing bath oil, soap or scent from the ancient British brand.
Xerox
The King’s household is no different to offices across the land in terms of its printing and photocopying requirements – hence the fact that Xerox has held a Royal Warrant since its infancy in 1906.
Paxton & Whitfield
‘The King loves anything with eggs and cheese,’ tweeted Charles’s chef Paul McGrady recently. It should come as no surprise, then, that the monarch likes the artisan cheesemonger Paxton & Whitfield, which was founded in 1797.
Taylor’s of Harrogate
Charles and Camilla are massive fans of this family business, based in Yorkshire, which sells carbon-neutral tea and coffee. In 2019, the royal couple asked to be shown around the company’s headquarters in Plumpton Park, where a jolly time was had by all.
