The World Future Society (WFS) is a non profit educational and scientific organization where many of the world’s leading futurists submit articles and share their future predictions about the world and how they think it will be.
Founded in 1966 by Edward Cornish, its prominent early members included Buckminster Fuller, Robert McNamara, Arthur C. Clarke, Herman Kahn and Alvin and Heidi Toffler amongst others.

Long Bets started in 2003 as a project of The Long Now Foundation which was founded in 1996 as a public education nonprofit foundation, based in California. Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com, provided the two grants with which the Long Bets website was built.
The website is an arena for competitive, accountable predictions. The coin of the realm is the Prediction and the Long Bet. A Long Bet is made when a member challenges a predictor to a wager over their Prediction. Members and bettors alike can follow the action from a single page throughout the process. You can find serious or less so predictions, ranging from Apple releasing an electric car within the next decade to Chelsea Clinton marrying Prince George with UK and USA united under one kingdom.

FutureTimeline is an ongoing, collaborative project featuring ideas from scientists, futurists, inventors, writers and anyone else interested in futurology.
The website shows a speculative timeline of future history. Part fact and part fiction, the timeline is based on detailed research – including analysis of current trends, long-term environmental changes, advances in technology such as Moore's Law, future medical breakthroughs, the evolving geopolitical landscape and much more. Where possible, references have been provided to support the predictions.
