Best known for playful word handmade jute bags alongside homewares, The Jacksons' products are strong and sustainable, created to be fun and practical. The brand’s mission is believing that employment leads to independence, empowerment and status. Designed in Notting Hill with a shop on All Saints Road since 1998, each bag is unique, handwoven by skilful traditional women in rural Bangladesh and produced in limited-edition.

Big Eyes

The Jacksons original slogan 'Out of Office' remains popular and my favourites are ‘Big Eyes’ and ‘Are we There Yet’.

Are We There Yet

Available in a range of designs, they are lightweight and very durable as a summer bag. For shopping, everyday, travel, holidays or the ultimate Mum / overflow nappy bag.

All Jacksons bags are made from 100% jute, a plant that is completely rain fed and requires no additional energy. This makes jute products virtually carbon free. The jute plant starts absorbing carbon after only a few weeks of growth, thus acting as a carbon sink.

Starting initially with a just 100 women, The Jacksons now provides 1,500 artisans in over 60 villages with work all year round. They are given the option to work at the local community centre or from home to fit in with their family lives. A further 4,000 people are given employment opportunities through the production of jute cord, bead work and embroidery. In this partnership, artisans are being paid directly, which gives them more freedom / choices regarding their daily lives, leading to improved access to basic healthcare and education.

Octopus Placemat - Natural

The table mats are incredibly charming and make perfect presents. I especially love the Fish, Octopus, and Lobster.
