The Accessories Every Good Larder Or Pantry Needs
Staples for the store cupboard: how to create the perfect pantry.
For home obsessives, a pantry is the ultimate dream. Not only does it mean that all the basics can be stored away from the kitchen and thus free up space, but it also offers up the perfect playground for organising seductively lovely goods that make us want to spend our days rustling up good things for ourselves, the family or for friends. Here are just a few of the ways we’d fill up our larders with goodness.
The Shelves
Shelves in a pantry should always be groaning but, ideally, well-organised. (No one wants to spend hours searching for an errant can of chickpeas.) We are eying up these examples for organising our tins, bottles and jars upon.
The Lampshades
Don’t neglect good lighting in the pantry – done right it can elevate the space beautifully and illuminate your preserves and produce.
The Storage Jars
Pastas and pulses; tea bags and biscuits: the best staples call for the best storage.

Olive Oil Pourers
Every good pantry needs lashings of good olive oil which, in turn, is elevated further by a lovely pourer. These are our favourites.
The Food Staples
The pantry is, ultimately, all about keeping a good store cupboard full of useful and delicious things. These are just a few of the basics and delicacies we’d be overjoyed to line up on our shelves.
