There are no words in the English language more likely to make us squeal with excitement than these two: mini break. Without the huge amounts of organisation that tends to go into full-on holidays, they are like an amuse-bouche: all treat and no boring logistics. And that goes for the packing too. All we need is the frivolous, fun stuff – a good holdall, a washbag full of our favourites, a couple of pairs of shoes, one swimsuit and a hardworking dress. And these are the ones that make our edit for a couple of days of escapism and bliss.
