Founded by Flore des Robert and Pauline Laurent, La Bonne Brosse hair brushing is backed by science. When the old school friends discovered the benefits of daily hair brushing, they were so convinced by the results that they decided to leave their corporate careers in the beauty industry, at L'Oréal and Puig and Estee Lauder, to launch their own hairbrush brand.

It turns out there is something in the old fashioned advice to brush your hair for 100 strokes every day. Investigating the hair market, they discovered women know dozens of brands of shampoos, against almost none of hairbrushes. While 95% of us use a brush every day, everything is made in China, in plastic, of questionable quality. Regular hair brushing is “slow beauty” since 3 minutes of brushing a day can lead to a reduction of up to 50% use of hair products.

When the French founders discovered that the relaxing ritual of hair brushing not only detangles strands, but also stimulates circulation in the scalp and removes pollution and dirt build up, they roped in a dermatologist, a cosmetic physician, a hair stylist and an acupuncturist to engineer a new-gen brush that would do all this but look beautiful on your dressing table too.

Spending hours with the best French brushmakers to study the hair and scalp in detail, they looked at 144 different hair and scalp types to land on four different brush heads to cover the entire spectrum.

The website has a questionnaire for customers to choose the best brush for their hair type

Made entirely in France using old artisanal techniques and the finest materials, the brand works with the last remaining French brush maker to safeguard a tradition of craftsmanship.

La Bonne Brosse's twisted handle is made of cellulose acetate, a responsibly-sourced material composed of 70% wood fibers, used in the brush industry since the 19th century.

The brushes make wonderful presents for all ages. They also create a baby 'my first brush' and combs.
