Moro Dabron is a partnership between London-based designers, Austin Moro and Eliza Dabron. Born from a shared love of romantic interiors and gardens and having both always been interested in capturing scents from different interiors and locations through time.

The Moro Dabron Instagram account, which has attracted a dedicated following, features snapshots of everything from 1950s Parisian flower shops to time-worn terracotta jars that date back to the 3rd century BC.

At the end of 2020, following four years of careful preparation, the brand released a set of perfumes with evocative names such as ‘Of Gardens’ – a nod to an essay of the same title that was published by Francis Bacon in 1625.

Their candles take cues from the elegant sculptural vessels designed by 20th-century florist Constance Spry for The Fulham Pottery.

Jamb founders Will Fisher and Charlotte Freemantle had always longed to create their own candle, and decided to partner with Moro Dabron to design a candle vessel that evoked a Roman Bronze. The result looked like something excavated from an archaeological site or salvaged from the sea bed after centuries. Cast and hand-patinated at Jamb’s London workshop to give it a uniquely textured verdigris surface.

The scent is intended to evoke the atmosphere of an English country house, with notes of smoke, precious woods, amber and black pepper combining to create a scent reminiscent of a log fire in a library filled with antiques. Due to popular demand, the MD x Jamb candle will be back in stock Winter 2024.
