The new year bought with it a brand new website for The Hummingbird Bakery, and a new range of Vegan treats. Just thinking about their American-style cakes makes the mouth water, you must agree?

The Hummingbird Bakery first came into our lives when it opened in Notting Hill in 2004. The queues outside this Portobello Road shop were their greatest advert. Everyone wanted a Hummingbird cupcake, us included. Red velvet, please. There are now seven branches in South Kensington, Soho, Spitalfields, Islington, Richmond and Guildford. The Hummingbird Bakery is also spreading its sugary wings in the Middle East with branches already open in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

The new site was launched in January 2018, at the same time as launching a range of vegan cakes and cupcakes. When you scroll to their new site, you can now get inspiration from the delicious treats in the ‘Customers’ Favourites menu’ – salted caramel cake, anyone? Look out for their Favourite Flavours Mini Selection Box and our particular favourite the Red Velvet Selection Box. And let’s not forget their multi-coloured Rainbow Cake with its rich chocolate frosting.

When you shop on the Hummingbird Bakery’s site, you can now find all the American favourites freshly baked to order. Search by cakes, cupcakes, pies, selection boxes, tray bakes, whoopie pies, wedding cakes, Valentine’s Day, Made Without Gluten; and their brand new Vegan section of goodies.

The site allows users to find their nearest bakery to visit or collect order. They also deliver to selected postcodes. Fancy yourself as a bit of a Mary Berry? Look to their Baking Tips section which is a collection of their most frequently asked baking questions.

The regularly updated blog offers the latest news about bakeries, competitions and baking advice.

Soon, the site will release a new Gifts and Books page so that users can order the bestselling cookbooks and other Hummingbird Bakery gifts including a retro collection of baking kit. It’s no secret what makes the cakes taste so good as you can purchase the cookbooks on Amazon. Bet you could do with a cupcake right now?
