Food writer, stylist and author Anna Jones got a taste for the gastronomic life under the tutelage of Jamie Oliver when, in 2004, she landed a job at Fifteen. Having cut her teeth there for seven formative years, she has since gone on to pen a hugely successful column for The Guardian and write four best-selling cookery books. The latter have been praised to the skies by the gastro cognoscenti, from Nigel Slater to the late Antonio Carluccio. Within their beautiful pages, she champions seasonal fruit and veg and roundly proves how sumptuous and rich veggie food at its best can be. Her latest tome is One, which takes keen home cooks on a variously vegetarian and vegan culinary journey across the world, while giving tips on how to reduce waste and banish plastic from your kitchen. As she says, ‘This book is good for you, your pocket and for the planet.’

Here, the high priestess of plant-based cookery shares her favourite digital finds, from the app that delivers straight from farms to doorsteps to the Instagrammers who have kept her sane this year.

My standout online memory...

Launching One, my latest book online has been quite a ride and the culmination of a life lived online this crazy year.

My pet online hate is...

Rudeness and expectancy. Treat people with the same graciousness as you would if you were face-to-face.

Do you have any online rules or resolutions?

I try to take forty-eight hours away from apps, social and news at the weekends.

The Internet. On balance, a force for good or ill?

Good. It just needs a bit more human kindness.
