The moment that the pleated skirt was having back in 2020 has been so extended that its elevated status as a wardrobe classic has pretty much been officially conferred by the fashion pack. This summer, we’re loving the variety on offer, from the swishy midi and maxi versions, to the preppy and fresh minis, looping all the way back round to the pencils skirts as championed by the pleats OG, Issey Miyake. Printed, plain, colourful or monochrome, we love them all. If you’re brave enough, pair them with a bralette in the summer. If you’re not, they go beautifully with knotted T-shirts, boxy oversized tops or chunky knits come the autumn.
