Loungewear became the collective uniform of lockdown in 2020. But with the continuing hybrid #wfh approach to our working week, it seems that our love for athleisure wear is showing no signs of abating.

Market research firm GlobalData predicts demand for athleisure will grow by 16.4% in the UK between 2023 and 2027, growing from a £12bn industry to being worth £13.9bn.

A more elevated cousin of ‘loungewear’ (aka glorified pyjamas), the athleisure aesthetic includes versatile pieces that you could wear from your morning barre class to brunch and for all your errands in-between. Layering styles in soft, tactile fabrics (no shiny lycra workout wear here), opt for muted neutrals for a luxe take on the trend. And if you’re only wearing yours to your Zoom calls, don’t worry, we’ll never tell…
